Emmanuelle Grey Rossum began her singing career with an opportunity to join the Metropolitan Opera Children's Chorus. In her five years with the group she was able to perform in over 20 Operas in 6 different languages. She performed with opera legends such as Luciano Pavarotti and Placido Domingo. At age 12, Emmy began pursuing her career in acting.
Her most famous roles are The Phantom of the Opera, Poseidon and The Day After Tomorrow. Her role in The Phantom of the Opera garnered her a Golden Globe nomination. She won the role after singing for famed composer Andrew Lloyd Weber in his home. In 2006, she was named the Superstar of Tomorrow at the Young Hollywood Awards. She isn't just a Hollywood superstar, though. She is the ambassador for YouthAIDS and is the official spokesperson for PiNKiTUDE, which helps raise awareness for breast cancer.
