CHRIS HEMSWORTH

Chris Hemsworth was born on August 11, 1983, in Melbourne, Australia. Chris enjoyed surfing and playing sports while growing up and studied American Dialect at Screenwise Film & TV School for Actors in Sydney, Australia. In 2004, he moved to Sydney to play the role of Kim Hyde in Home and Away, appearing in 171 episodes of the series. In 2005, he won an award for Most Popular New Talent on Home and Away; however, he left the show in 2007 to pursue other roles.

In 2009, Hemsworth appeared in films like Star Trek and A Perfect Getaway, but his Hollywood debut came in 2010 when he played Sam Phelan in the film Ca$h. His big breakthrough role came two years later when he starred in Thor, the film adaptation of the Marvel Comics superhero of the same name. His brother Liam also reached out for the role making it to the final four, but Hemsworth won the part after the director Kenneth Branagh decided to re-evaluate earlier candidates. That same year he also starred in The Cabin in the Woods and Red Dawnremake. Hemsworth is quickly taking over Hollywood as the new A List and everyone wants to see more of him!
