CAM GIGANDET

Cam Joslin Gigandet was born on August 16, 1982 in Tacoma, Washington. He attended Auburn Senior High School and graduated in 2001. After graduation Gigandet moved to California to attend Santa Monica Community College. It was there where he took is first acting class. After only one course he was in love and decided to pursue a career in acting.

In 2003, Gigandet received his first break with a guest appearance on the TV series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." It was only up from here, as he scored other television roles such as "The Young & The Restless" and "Jack & Bobby." In 2006, he was given a recurring role as Kevin Volchok on the television series "The O.C." It was this role that opened a door of opportunities for Gigandet. He was offered bigger roles in films such as American Crude, On the Doll, Making Changes and Never Back Down. With several movies under his belt, Gigandet was given the role of James, the evil tracker vampire, in the huge hit film Twilight. He stared alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The movie was based on the novel written by Stephanie Meyer. He also starred alongside Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster in the film Pandorum.

Gigandet has only big things to come as he is booked to star in movies such as Pinkville, Kid Cannabis, Five Star Day and Kerosene Cowboys. It is clear that Gigandet enjoys playing the bad guy and has a gifted talent in doing so. We look forward to seeing what sorts of trouble this bad boy will get himself into in roles to come.

Fun Facts:

• Cam's girlfriend got him to read the Twilight books two months before he landed a role in the film adaptation.

• Cam and his girlfriend welcomed a daughter, Everleigh Ray Gigandet, into the world on April 14, 2009.

• He has a black belt in the Israeli martial art of Krav Maga.
