Being raised in Tarzana, California, Blake grew up as a southern Baptist. Attending Burbank High School, Blake was a cheerleader as well as one of the members of her choir. Having 4 siblings whom have all been in the entertainment business at some point, Blake was pushed by one of her sisters who asked her agent to send Blake out on auditions.

From there, Blake landed a role on Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and later starred in the sequel Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
Blake then co-starred in Accepted alongside Justin Long, a for that won her a Breakthrough Award. Making an impression as a great actress, she landed a role as Serena van der Woodsen on the hit show "Gossip Girl." Blake has also appeared in various magazines such as Cosmo Girl, Lucky, Teen Vogue and Vogue. This sweetheart is here to stay in Hollywood!

Blake has stated she has known her "Gossip Girl" co-star Penn Badgley since she was 11 years old.

She loves going to Disneyland.

She is the sister-in-law of Bart Johnson whom is coach Jack Bolton in the High School Musical films.
