ASHLEE SIMPSON

Ashlee Simpson has blossomed from Jessica's kid sister to powerful pop star. The Texas-born beauty released two records with back-to-back number #1 debuts. Her third studio album, Bittersweet World, was released in April 2008, with help from hitmaker Timbaland and the Neptunes' Chad Hugo.

Simpson's many talents consist of singing and acting, including a recurring role on hit show "7th Heaven." She is also an accomplished dancer, gaining admission to the esteemed School of American Ballet in NYC at the age of 11. Her diversity as a performer also landed her the lead role of Roxie Hart in the London production of Chicago.

2008 was a big year for Simpson. She married long-time boyfriend, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz, and is expanding her family with their son Bronx. She overcame lip-synch scandal and critics galore and has come out on top. When it comes to Ashlee Simpson's career she lets the work speak for itself. Ashlee even scored a role on the CW's 2009 relaunch of the television series "Melrose Place" where she brought her sultry side to the small screen.
