ADAM LAMBERT BIO

ADAM LAMBERT

Adam Lambert was born on January 29, 1982, in Indianapolis, Indiana. At a very young age, Adam and his family moved to the sunny city of San Diego, California. Even as a child Adam dreamed of being an entertainer. His career began at the age of ten when he was cast as Linus in the Lyceum Theater’s production of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Adam continued to pursue his dream by taking private voice lessons and appearing in local musicals such as Grease, Chess, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. In high school, Adam was very involved in the arts, participating in theater, choir and jazz band. After completing high school Adam moved to Orange County to attend college. However, his dreams of becoming an entertainer came first and he put his academic career aside. He left college and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in music. By 2004, Adam was beginning to make his rise to stardom. He had a small role in The Ten Commandments at the Kodak Theater along with actor Val Kilmer. He also scored big with the substitute position of character Fiyero in the touring and Los Angeles cast of the musical, Wicked. In 2009, Adam took a leap of faith and tried out for "American Idol." His leap proved successful as he became a finalist. Adam sang his heart out, becoming "American Idol’s" runner up.

Currently, Adam is working on a solo album, On with the Show, which is expected to be released in 2009. His album is said to have a variety of sounds, and the first single released will be “Want." We can’t wait to hear more music from this amazing new artist!
