  • What is Sexy??

What's sexier than a rooftop soiree with A-list stars, the power players of Hollywood, and VS angels dressed to kill? Nothing.  The who's who of Tinsel Town came to honor the sexiest bombshells in Hollywood at the Victoria's Secret 5th Annual "What is Sexy?" party at the chic Drai's at the W Hollywood.

I must say myself -- the party was off the hook.  Out of all the events that I attend in Hollywood on a weekly basis -- VS always brings out the elite crowd, and they know how to keep it exclusive.  No riff raff here.

The models: a little Miranda Kerr mixed with Chanel Iman and a dash of Doutzen Kroes and Rosie Whiteley.  A few of the celebs: Paris Hilton, Ryan Phillippe, Shaun White, Camila Alves, Jamie Foxx, the Madden brothers, Ryan Kwanten, Terrell Owens, and more.  The best part of the night was when my boys N.E.R.D. jumped on top of the booths for a surprise performance. Skateboard P (Pharrell Williams) serenaded the VS angels, and did what he always does.  Kill it.  Now ladies, a little secret here.  While most of you probably think the event would be filled with beautiful women, it's exactly the opposite.  Yes of course, as you can see above the VS bombshells are always the center of attention, however the event always brings out the most elite men in Hollywood. There was PLENTY of man-candy to go around -- these guys take the VS party very seriously and always come looking their best...and there's nothing like a man in a suit.

Categories of the "What is Sexy?" list ranged from Sexiest Actress (Olivia Wilde), Sexiest Sense of Humor (Ellen DeGeneres), to Sexiest Lips (Scarlett Johansson) and Sexiest Chef (Padma Lakshmi).  This hot list had everyone on the Pink Carpet talking.  Who better than Victoria's Secret to answer the question: "What is sexy?"  I sent my hosting duties to Tatiana D. earlier in the AM to get the girls answer to that age old question.  Peep her interview below:

  • "I'm a sweaty, lower-half Canadian." --- Brendan Fraser

It's been nonstop entertainment at the YH studio!   We've had fantastic and fun guests coming by, including Columbus Short, Tracy Morgan, Angela Kinsey, Brendan Fraser, James Van Der Beek, Debi Nova, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chloe Grace Moretz, Meatloaf, Alyssa Milano, Busy Phillips, Macy Gray and a whole lot more.

This week's studio secrets take you behind-the-scenes at the YH studio with comedic stars Tracy Morgan, Angela Kinsey and Brendan Fraser.

Funny lady Angela Kinsey from "The Office" (one of my all-time favorite shows) came by, and yes, she is just as hilarious in person as you'd expect.   After almost knocking over her bottle of smartwater while prepping for the interview, she apologized for almost "tearing the place down," then looked around the studio, a little confused.   She was curious to find out from our set designer how we were able to completely re-furnish a 3-room hotel suite for just one day of interviews.   "Lights that look like African drums?   Check."   When we told her it was actually our brand new permanent studio, she couldn't believe we were here to stay. "Fantastic!"   I was also excited to find out that she's a fellow Texas native, so we wanted to boast our Texas pride but it didn't seem to go too well" ¦ Peace sign = Hook "ËœEm Horns?   Oops" ¦ at least we tried.

If you could look up the definition of a true entertainer, Tracy Morgan's face should appear.   From the minute he walked in the door with excitement and energy, he was blown away by our chill and edgy vibe. "Daamn now THIS is a party!" he said while checking out the space.   I couldn't tell you what else came out of his mouth from that point on except that he had us all in hysterics from beginning to end.   Out of control.   Thanks for a great interview Tracy, you rock!!

Brendan Fraser (Angela Kinsey's co-star and lead for the film "Furry Vengeance") stopped by the studio.   Super nice guy!   With cameras coming at him from all angles, he decided to have a little fun with it and grabbed our flip to shoot some of his own behind-the-scenes footage.   Best part of the whole thing was his quote on how he would describe himself: "I'm a sweaty, lower-half Canadian."   Enough said.

Check out the video to see these ridiculous moments in action!

    More to come...

  • YH Studio Kick Off

It's official. After months of preparation, Young Hollywood finally launched its first-ever studio space at one of the most prestigious, high profile destinations in the world - the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. With exclusive access to the who's who of Hollywood's A-list, we're excited to become the first and only media outlet to ever be PERMANENTLY housed on the hotel premises 7 days a week/24 hours a day.

The studio is quickly becoming one of the hottest spots in town. Dozens of celebrities have come by, from the cast of Kick Ass, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Robin Hood and 90210 to Tracy Morgan, Kristin Cavallari, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Alyssa Milano and more.

I think the best part of it all has been the shock on everyone's faces when they walk through the door. Just don't think it's your typical, ordinary hotel room... trust me, YH always knows how to do it up right, so expect the unexpected. We completely converted a 3-room suite into our own swanky, laid-back hang-out equipped with a bar, lounge area, plasma screens, mood lighting and more. Uniquely designed by Cantoni furniture's Alissa Sutton, the studio offers a variety of cutting-edge looks and a super hip vibe.

Speaking of cutting-edge looks, big shout out to Young Hollywood's fashion stylist Tod Hallman for hooking up our on-air talent during launch week with some hot looks from John Varvatos, JOE'S, Alternative Apparel, Z-Brand and Oliver Rayn.

In the midst of all the momentum and good times rolling, we figured it only made sense to start capturing what really goes on behind-the-scenes at the YH studio. I mean, hey, everyone knows that's when the real fun (and craziness) goes down" ¦

Here's a peek inside this week's wrap-up of some awesome raw footage we caught on tape.

    Check out the video!

** Kristin Cavallari's dog, Bardot (named after Brigitte Bardot), made sure to mark its territory in the studio by peeing on the floor, but luckily we got it carpet cleaned right away. Now that's a true best friend.

** Rev Theory performs an amazing acoustic version of their hit song, "Hell Yeah," at the YH studio during a tasting party for the Maloof brothers' soon-to-be-launched Black Star beer.

** Robin Hood's Merry Men Scott Grimes and Alan Doyle have some interesting times in the studio trying to figure out how to use the flip.

Plenty more studio secrets to come" ¦ stay tuned!

  • Nas is Like.....

This morning, I woke up in a 90's hip-hop kind of mood, and of course Nas came to mind.  He has always been one of my favorite artists, and there's nothing like bumping Illmatic to start the week off on the right note.  Picture this:  Sunny LA,  Santa Monica Boulevard with the windows down, Coffee Bean in hand, Nas is Like...

Nasir Jones is a one-of-a-kind rapper who is set to deliver hot new tracks with an amazing sound this May.   But he's not doing it alone.   He is united with talented lyricist Damian Marley on their highly anticipated album Distant Relatives ( due out on May 18th, 2010). I had the chance to chat with Nas in Park City, Utah (home of Sundance Movie Festival) this year -- where we spent some QT backstage at Harry O's before his performance.    When I asked Nas about his new project with Marley earlier this year, his expression said it all --Peep our chat below:

Nas is extremely candid, especially when he raps: "[we're] real revolution rhymers, like two Obamas." which is a line from their newest internet release "As We Enter."   Nas and Damian Marley have come together to formulate an album that will force you to bob your head.   Just listen to the song "Land of Promise" and you will hear the distinct flavor of both musicians' backgrounds and influences, making their connection seem far from distant.   Peep their new video for "As We Enter."
